Fans Rescue Stranded Dave Matthews
. En route (behind schedule, even) to the Dave Matthews Band concert in Hershey, Pa., on Saturday (July 13), the fans spotted Matthews across the road with a bicycle, apparently stranded. "So, we saw him on the other side of the road and we pulled my car in here," Kraus told local CBS affiliate WHP-TV. "And he picks up his bike and throws it up here." Matthews was out for a pre-show bike ride when he got a flat tire. Without a cell phone, he was stuck a little ways outside the city, a drive of about seven minutes in all. After dealing with his saviors' bike rack, which according to Kraus was apparently a bit befuddling to Matthews, the trio headed toward the concert, which was held at Hersheypark Stadium, near the grounds of the headquarters of the Hershey Company. "I was riding my bicycle, and then I got a flat tire on my bicycle. I did not have a cell phone on the bicycle. So I thought, 'Sh*t," Matthews joked from the stage that night. "And then a nice lady named Emily rode up in a red car with a bicycle rack on it and gave me a ride on to the gig." See a video clip and read more here.
