fun. Resurrect Song for Girls

. (Radio.com) Though we have to wait another week until Girls returns, you can pick up a copy of the soundtrack today. Featuring new music from fun., Grouplove and Santigold it's enough to hold you over until the new season begins January 13.

fun. frontman Nate Ruess told Rolling Stone their song "Sight of the Sun" was originally written for their album Some Nights but didn't make the cut as one of the samples wasn't cleared.

"So we got really dejected and put it away until Lena [Dunham] called," Nate said. "I ended up rewriting the chorus and actually like it better than the sample now! We recorded most of this in Italy on a day off from tour and I just remember us eating an Italian feast at the studio and barely being able to communicate with the engineers, which was kind of cool because it eliminated all small talk and put the focus into the song." more on this story
