Mindy McCready Tribute Event Coming And Final Song Goes Online
. Music City News Media & Marketing announced on Monday, "to complement formal family arrangements, preliminary plans are being made by Mindy's 'friends in music' to organize a memorial in Nashville in the coming days." Details are to be announced. E! reports that prior to her death, McCready asked private investigator Danno Hanks to put together a video for her. The video features a cover of Courtney Dashe's "I'll See You Yesterday," a song which Hanks says helped McCready following the apparent suicide of David Wilson. "She said she wanted to put together this video to help people deal when someone had suffered a suicide in their life and God, she was literally having me write her suicide note. If I had known, I would have made sure someone was there with her all the time." The day prior to her suspected suicide, McCready sent Hanks a frame for the video he was putting together with contact information for a suicide hotline. "I thought she was talking about sending a message about suicide for David's death but this is unbelievable. She was sending me a message. I wish I had been more alert to what it was," Hanks said.
