Amy Speace Streaming New Song Online

. Amy Speace is giving fans an early taste of her forthcoming album, How To Sleep in a Stormy Boat".

The album isn't set to be released until April 16th but Speace has premiered the title track online. You can listen here.

The album was inspired by her early work as an actress with the National Shakespeare Company. Each song of the release is coupled with a Shakespearean quote.

"I went back to read [Shakespeare's] plays and found this very modern lamenting of love, lust, longing, denial, betrayal, rage, sorrow - everything I was wrestling with myself, feeling isolated and lost: the madness of the dream," she says.

Amy launched a North American tour earlier this week. She will be on the road with various tours until late May when she takes part in the Kerrville Folk Festival.
