Matt & Kim Go Viral With Their Harlem Shake Video
. The dance has re-entered the public consciousness thanks to emerging New York dance music producer Baauer, whose 2012 song "Harlem Shake" has set off an endless stream of videos featuring people doing the dance in a variety of situations (it recently scared TV news anchor Anderson Cooper when his staff broke out into the move during a staff meeting), with Baauer scheduled for a high-profile performance at this year's Coachella festival. Originally found on the BBC Essential Mix from Glasgow producer Rustie, Baauer's bass-heavy track was given a proper release on Mad Decent, the record label run by GRAMMY-nominated DJ/producer Diplo.
