John Fogerty Reveals New Duets Album Details
. Fogerty produced the album where he is joined by various rock and country music stars as he revisits classic songs from his musical history. The album features new versions of past songs where he is joined by Kid Rock, Foo Fighters, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Bob Seger, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Zac Brown Band and more. Fogerty told American Songwriter for their latest cover story, "I encouraged each of these artists to come up with their own vision of my song, rather than just redoing what I'd recorded in the past. I was hoping they'd have some different twist so it would be fresh, so I'd have to work, too. I wanted it to be something new." One of the new versions of a classic Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Born On The Bayou" features Kid Rock and was used by the NFL Network cover of Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. Wrote a Song for Everyone tracklisting: John Fogerty plans to tour in support of the album this year and will be appearing at this year's SXSW in Austin (dates/events TBA).
