David Simon Writes Musical Based on The Pogues
. According to Dublin's Evening Herald, Simon has already submitted a script for a new stage production based on the music of the Pogues to the artistic director of Irish theater company The Druid, which is expected to produce the show. Simon worked on the piece with the late Phillip Chevron, who played guitar for the Pogues until his untimely death this past October after battling cancer. While Simon's script has been completed, the Herald reported that it will "take years" before the script will be ready to hit the stage, so don't book those flights to Ireland quite yet, you lovers of musicals and mad Irish bar rock alike. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
