Matisyahu Featured In Moshav's World on Fire
. Moshav is a Los Angeles-based, multi-genre American/Israeli rock band with a worldwide following whose music and lyrics combine elements of alternative rock, reggae, funk and folk with influences as diverse as The Police, Santana, Peter Gabriel, Bob Marley and U2. "World on Fire" resonates with the band's signature's themes of the power of rebirth and renewal, the importance of kindness as the most valuable universal currency and the infinite opportunities that are always possible by starting over. Filmed over 3 days in West Los Angeles by, Bancs Media, the "World On Fire" music video follows the journey of a $20 bill as it passes through the hands of a variety of people experiencing their own human drama, with the currency highlighting their relationships, hopes and dreams. Each personal story illustrates the power of new beginnings, the possibilities of infinite opportunities and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of hope. The music video also features Moshav co-founders Yehuda Solomon (vocals/percussion) and Duvid Swirsky (vocals/guitar). "The song evokes a picture of our "World on Fire," according to band co-founder Yehuda Solomon. "Fire is a powerful tool that we can use to either cause harm or destruction, or to bring light into darkness. The possibility to 'turn around and start over' requires courage. To stand up to our fears and doubts so we can 'carry each other' even though we humans seem so different. Sometimes in this world, the things that you think are the furthest away from each other are actually connected." On the band's collaboration with Matisyahu, Solomon says "It was a real pleasure collaborating on this song with our dear friend Matisyahu who is an artist known for singing about unity and hope, so it felt very natural and right." According to Matisyahu, the collaboration came as a result of his friendship with Moshav and respect for their music. "Working with my good friends from Moshav has been as always a blast. I think the fun we have with each other and the love we have for each other really comes across in the song and video." SBI submitted this story.
