Red Hot Chili Peppers Plan Super Bowl-Sized Pregame Party

. (Radio.com) Get ready for a Super Bowl-sized pregame party with one killer soundtrack. The night before Super Bowl XLVIII kicks off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline WFAN's "Big Hello to Brooklyn" show at the Barclays Center on Saturday, February 1, 2014.

New Politics, MS MR, J Roddy Walston & the Business and Basic Vacation will also play the concert hosted by New York's pioneering sports radio station (a Radio.com station).

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith joined WFAN morning show hosts Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton to announce the concert today (December 16), the band's first show in New York in almost ten years.

"We're not on tour right now," Smith told the hosts. "We've taken a little time off, but this is a big event, it's a very exciting weekend for New York." Ticket details and more.
