(Radio.com) American demand for Morrissey's recently published Autobiography (originally slated to only come out in Europe) was so big, plans were quickly arranged for it to be released stateside sooner than expected.

Now that the spite-filled tome has officially hit U.S. shores this week (December 3), it has been revealed that the American version arrives with all mention of the singer's homosexual relationship with photographer Jake Owen Walters reportedly edited out of the book's pages.

According to WENN, "many details in the original book" relating to Morrissey's two-year relationship with the photog "are missing or edited down."

A childhood photograph of Walters has also been excised from the American version, as has his name from a story detailing a night on the town with Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde. more on this story
