Juicy J Twerk Tweet Ends Up As Scholarship Competition

. (Radio.com) Just days before Miley Cyrus scandalized the world with a shocking twerk-fest during her performance at this year's MTV Video Music Awards (you might've heard about it?), Academy Award-winning rapper Juicy J created a booty-shaking controversy of his very own.

The rapper took to Twitter on August 22 to announce that he was offering $50,000 "to the best chick that can twerk," generating outrage from a range of pundits, including one who was moved to offer up a list of alternative scholarship competitions in lieu of "perpetuating misogynistic narratives in hip hop and pop culture," such as music production prowess and that old standby, good grades.

While Juicy J quickly deleted the tweet, the rapper was moved to go forward with the scholarship competition, but instead of judging the young women on their twerking abilities, he's asking for a video explanation as to why they're worthy of the $50,000 in tuition money. more on this story
