Singled Out: Cameron The Public's Unstoppable
. I wrote the lyrics of the song when I had someone very special in my life. She supported me and brought me up when I was dealing with a lot of stress and growing pains in the music business. It was really the first time that a woman taught me that there is strength in vulnerability. Later on before it was released and before the ABC family Promo, we started performing "Unstoppable" for various breast cancer fundraisers in Southern California. I started seeing how emotionally powerful this song was to the men who were in significant relationships with the women that were actually battling the breast cancer. It's amazing when you love someone that is going through massive life changes and they stay as positive throughout the process, it makes you a stronger person just by watching them and being in their presence. That's now what the song "Unstoppable" means to me. We tracked Unstoppable at Serenity West Studios in Hollywood. The original lyrics were "My life is beautiful" instead of "Unstoppable." The funny thing is, we were never going to release this track. It didn't fit with the other songs. My friend Tess Taylor at NARIP in LA kept telling me it had huge potential for a promo spot somewhere. I thought she was crazy. I'd never had any opportunity like that presented to me before and I thought the odds were really low of having that ever happen. She eventually passed it to her friends at ABC and they thought it was perfect too! Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself right here!
