Tyler, the Creator Releases New Song
. According to Tyler's Twitter, he says (in his own inimitable way) that the new song about a drug dealer-turned-killer is his attempt to make a song reminiscent of rap acts Fam-Lay and Clipse, both of whom were produced by the Neptunes and part of the Star Trak label in the early to mid-2000s. Like previous Grand Theft Auto soundtracks, the fifth edition will come via a series of imagined radio stations featured within the game, each with a unique theme and/or curator. The new Tyler, the Creator song will be part of L.A. electronic artist Flying Lotus' playlist, "FlyLo FM." According to the L.A. Times, Flying Lotus' eclectic mix will also include selections from fellow underground beat-makers Clams Casino (best known for producing many A$AP Rocky tracks) and Dabrye, alongside modern classics from OutKast and Aphex Twin. Other "stations" will be hosted by Wavves, Keith Morris of L.A. punk band OFF! and Belgian dance outfit Soulwax. Listen here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
