The April 20, 1992 event saw the surviving members of Queen � Roger Taylor, Brian May and John Deacon � take to the stage at London's Wembley Stadium to pay tribute the Mercury and to increase public awareness of AIDS, the disease that had prematurely ended his life the previous November. Queen were joined by some of the biggest musical talent in the world to celebrate Freddie's life and work, including David Bowie, Guns N' Roses, Def Leppard, Robert Plant, Metallica, Extreme and many others.
