Janelle Monae Announces Tour and Releases Song With Miguel
. Posted online yesterday (Aug. 19), the slow-burning love song boasts Miguel's distinctive voice on background vocals, as well as the "Adorn" singer taking the lead on the second verse. Miguel is just one of the marquee artists slated to appear on The Electric Lady. Erykah Badu and Prince (who's already provided a remix of album track "Q.U.E.E.N.") also have cameos on the the album. "I had a chance to produce an icon," Monae said regarding Prince's appearance on the record. "It's not every day that he collaborates. I'm honored and humbled that he trusted me. He is forever my friend, and I am forever indebted. I can't say too much else about it." Monae has already lined up an extensive U.S. tour in support of The Electric Lady, which kicks off on October 13 in Philadelphia, PA, before wrapping up on November 26 in Atlanta, GA.
