Rory Gallagher Offshoot Band Of Friends Announce Fall Tour

(The Blues) Rory Gallagher offshoot outfit Band Of Friends will tour the UK in November, they've confirmed. The lineup consists of bassist Gerry McAvoy and drummer Ted McKenna � both former members of Gallagher's band � along with guitarist-vocalist Marcus Scherpenzeel.

Their stated aim is to deliver not just the notes, but the sound, energy and feel of Gallagher, and their live shows appear to have been passing muster with acclaim from all over Europe.

McKenna recently told The Blues Magazine that the band are planning to release original music in the very near future. Check out the upcoming tour dates here.
