Alter Bridge Begin Recording New Album
. The band broke the news via their official website with the following message, "We are pleased to announce that recording has begun on our 4th studio album. "First up to record is Scott 'Flip' Phillips on the drums. Stay tuned and we'll update you on the progress as time allows." Guitarist Mark Tremonti recently discussed the musical direction of the new material in an interview with Loudwire. He told the site, "All of them are kind of real high-energy, just real fun rock/metal. We want to not be predictable. We want to make it a little surprising and we're having fun with it."
