(Gibson) Neil Diamond is donating royalties from the surging sales of his pop anthem, "Sweet Caroline," to the charity supporting victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

As reported by Billboard.com, the veteran singer re-tweeted news that "Sweet Caroline" had sold 19,000 copies since April 15, adding the words, "Donating these royalties to #OneFund!"

The playing of "Sweet Caroline" the adopted anthem of the Boston Red Sox has become integral to the healing process in the wake of the Boston tragedy.

Diamond delivered a rousing rendition of the song on April 20 at Fenway Park, during the Red Sox's first home game following the incident. The newly resurrected hit has since been played during sporting events throughout the U.S. The One Fund Boston charity has raised more than $23 million thus far. more on this story
