Newsted Kick Off American Tour Tonight

. Former Metallica/Voivod/Flotsam And Jetsam bassist Jason Newsted will be kicking off the American tour for his new band Newsted tonight in Walnut Creek, Ca.

The club tour will be hitting various markets across the west and east coast and Midwest for the rest of this month and well into May when the trek concludes on May 23rd in Asbury Park, NJ.

The American trek will be followed by a European Tour that will kick off with an appearance at Sonisphere Madrid on May 31st. That run will conclude on June 27th at the With Full Force Festival in Leipzig, Germany.

The band, which also features drummer Jesus Mendez Jr, guitarist Jessie Farnsworth, and Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, recently completed work on their debut album.
