Kanye West Sued Over Gold Digger
. West allegedly sampled part of the 1974 song "Bumpin' Bus Stop" by Thunder & Lightning in the track and the family of late David Pryor have filed suit. The suit reportedly claims that West sampled a 13-second portion of the song in which Pryor says "get down" three times in an echo of West's chorus, "Get down girl, go 'head, get down," according to FMQB. Pryor's children, Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor, have reportedly requested that a judge block the future sales of the song and they want "millions of dollars" in damages for the unlicensed sample.
