. Bieber played his prank with a posting on Twitter. He tweeted fans, "As promised taking all fan phone calls TODAY at (888) 847 9869. Talk to u soon!" When the anxious fans placed calls expecting to reach Beiber they were instead connected to the TMZ' tip line, according to Billboard. Bieber later removed the tweet, but by then the tweet had gone viral through fan's screen captures. The pop star has over 36.9 followers on Twitter and at press time there was no indication how many of them called the tabloid's tip line by mistake yesterday.
