Lady Gaga Now A Plant

. (CBS Local) Scientists at Duke University announced Tuesday, October 23 that they have named a new species of the plant after Lady Gaga.

"We wanted to name this genus for Lady Gaga because of her fervent defense of equality and individual expression," Kathleen Pryer, a professor of biology at Duke University said in a statement.

"And as we started to consider it, the ferns themselves gave us more reasons why it was a good choice." more on this story
