Outkast's Andre 3000 To Play Jimi Hendrix in Biopic

(Classic Rock) A biopic telling the story of Jimi Hendrix's rise to fame is set to start shooting in Ireland this month, starring Outkast rapper Andre 3000.

A report by the Irish Film & Television Network says the movie will be called All is By My Side. It will document the guitar icon's move to England during 1966 and 1967.

It covers the period from Hendrix being discovered in a New York club by Keith Richard's girlfriend Linda Keith and his tie-up with manager Chas Chandler, through to the recording of debut album Are You Experienced.
