Foo Fighter To Play Iggy Pop In New Movie

. (Gibson) Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has agreed to play rock icon Iggy Pop in the new CBGB movie.

As we reported last week, Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint will play Dead Boys guitarist Cheetah Chrome with Rock of Ages actress Malin Akerman talking on the role of Blondie's Debbie Harry.

The famed New York music club that played such a pivotal in nurturing punk talent in the '70s and '80s, finally closed in 2006. more on this story
