Singled Out: Troy Harley's End Of Summer
. I think 'End of Summer' boils down to accepting the unfortunate fact that sometimes the very best things in life, the things that make us the happiest, are fleeting. Temporary. But that doesn't make them any less important. I hear it all the time. People claim they're in love with somebody -- 'summer love' -- then heartbroken when it doesn't work out. They mope around feeling like the whole world has done them wrong. Lied to them. We've all been there. But when you finally reflect on some of these "lost" loves and memorable summers, I think you'll realize you were more in love with how that person made you feel. How happy you were in that moment. Sometimes -- too often, I think -- people become obsessed with trying to get that moment back. The thing is -- we can't. We have to move forward. Sure, it might be the end of 'us', but that doesn't diminish what we had. Not by any means. Because there's always a next 'summer'. Another moment. Approach each one as if it were your last, and in the end, you'll die with a life. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself right here!
