Carrie Underwood Co-Wrote Lauren Alaina's New Single

. American Idol Runner-up Lauren Alaina's new single, "Eighteen Inches," was co-written by Carrie Underwood, Kelley Lovelace and Ashley Gorley and will be released to radio on July 16.

"It's amazing to have an artist like Carrie Underwood, whom I look up to so much write my single," beamed Alaina. "Kelley, Ashley, and Carrie all did a wonderful job writing such an incredible song. I feel so honored to be able to bring to life the beautiful story within the song."

The American Idol Season 10 runner up released her debut album Wildflower and it landed at No. 2 on the Billboard's Top Country Album chart and at No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200.
