Steve Aoki To Release Datsik's Vitamin D
. The album will feature instrumentals and collaborations with the likes of Jonathan Davis of KORN, Infected Mushroom and Z-Trip. The album's first offering is "Fully Blown," due out January 31 with fellow Canadian artist, rapper Snak The Ripper. "'I met Datsik through mutual friends I think," says Snak The Ripper. "I had heard of him long before that though. He called me out of the blue and left a message on my answering machine. He explained who he was and said how he thought my tunes were sick! We kept in touch from then on and the rest is history" Adds Snak The Ripper: "Datsik's success as an artist is undeniable. His talent is next level! Collaborating with him has given me the opportunity to try something new with my own skills which is super exciting. He is an inspiration to other Canadian artists like myself, and I look forward to working with him again.'' Prior to releasing VITAMIN D, DATSIK is co-headlining with Steve Aoki the DIM MAK'S DEADMEAT TOUR 2012 launching January 19 in Phoenix. The pair will travel across North America throughout winter 2012 and perform at some of the most renowned theaters and concert arenas, including the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, the Fillmore in Denver, Boston's House of Blues, Montreal's Metropolis and New York City's legendary Roseland Ballroom. The DEADMEAT Tour will showcase the debut of new live visual productions from both Aoki and DATSIK alongside an all-star supporting lineup of some of the most sought-after, up-and-coming producers in electronic music today, including Alvin Risk, Mustard Pimp, Autoerotique, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Terravita, who will perform throughout the trek on alternating dates. More supporting acts and dates will be announced soon. Following the DEADMEAT Tour, DATSIK will return to downtown Miami where he'll once again perform at this year's Ultra Music Festival Saturday, March 24 at Bayfront Park and appear at Coachella in Southern California April 13 and 20.
