(popmusiclife) Lady Gaga has set a new Twitter record. NME reports Gaga has become the first person to reach 18 million followers on Twitter beating Justin Bieber by nearly two million fans, and Katy Perry, who was in third with 13.9 million..

The milestone comes less than a year after the singer became the first person to score 10 million followers on the social networking site.

"Can't believe I have 18,000,000 TwitterMonsters, really rad, was just a few years ago I had barely any," tweeted Gaga. more on this story
