The Voice Champ Cassadee Pope Has Crossover Ambitions
. "I feel awesome. I feel exhausted. It's just been a whirlwind since it's happened," Pope told 97.1 AMP Radio. It was only a few weeks ago when Cassadee visited AMP Radio along with the rest of the top 8. Looking back, Cassadee revealed what she thought was the turning point in the singing competition. "I think I started to really feel like I had a chance when 'Over You' charted. That was something that I never thought I would accomplish on my own," she said. "So when that happened, I thought to myself not only could I do that with my own music, but I could actually maybe take this thing. "That's when I started to continue doing country songs because I thought maybe there was something there that I was missing and it turns out that I actually love incorporating a little country in the pop/rock genre." She had a lot more to say. CBS Local is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
