Ol' Dirty Bastard Box Set Coming
. The re-issue will be accompanied by a number of rare, limited edition, and value-added goodies, and will be available for purchase on November 22 via burgeoning imprint Get On Down. The Return To The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version Wallet Box includes a re-mastered double CD that includes original album as well as remixes, a capellas, instrumentals, and other rarities. In addition, there's a vintage "On Tour" poster, extended artwork, promotional sticker, detailed liner notes, and an exclusive billfold wallet, where you will be able to put your complimentary laminated Ol' Dirty Bastard food stamp card. "We all knew that if we were going to do this, we had to include a physical version of that card, there was no other way to do it," explains Get On Down General Manager, Rob Reilly. "We really wanted the packaging to compliment the creative genius that is Ol' Dirty Bastard." For Get On Down, it was important to make sure that the special edition transcend all types of fans. "The box set," claims Reilly, "is a collector's item for people who aren't even collectors." Get On Down, the self-proclaimed "music imprint for music nerds by music nerds," has released and reissued over 50 albums, such as GZA's Liquid Swords and Muddy Waters' After The Rain. But crafting this ODB box set holds a special place in their heart. "We firmly believe Dirty was an icon," says Rob Reilly. "There is truly no way anyone will ever be able to emulate that style of his. The rap game just is not the same without his presence." Ol' Dirty Bastard's Return To The 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version Wallet Box Set will be available for pre-order at UndergroundHipHop.com, and more information and pictures can be found at GetOnDown.com.
