McCartney: The Beatles Would Have Reunited

. (Gibson) The Beatles parted ways in 1969 amid fatigue, conflict and even some bitterness, leaving behind a legacy of the most celebrated musical enterprise in rock and roll history. Thankfully, the guys patched things up in the 1970s, and had all of the members survived a bit longer, Paul McCartney says, eventually, the band would have properly reunited.

"If John [Lennon] and George [Harrison] were still here, it's highly likely we would've had a Beatles reunion," Sir McCartney told the Daily Express, "I think we would've mellowed to the point where we would've said, 'Come on, let's do it.'

"The thing was whenever we got �together, no matter if we were arguing, we played great," the 69-year-old added. "We knew each other so well; we read each other� It would've been great, but I'm not a great believer in 'What if?' You can't do it, but I suppose it's nice to speculate." more on this story
