Pete Townshend Gives Jools Another Number
. On Tuesday's broadcast, The Who guitarist was featured doing an acoustic take on "I'm One," from the band's 1973 classic, "Quadrophenia"; that album is being reissued in various formats (including a "Director's Cut" box set) on November 14th (UK) and November 15th (US). Friday night's extended version of Jools' show added more Townshend, as he sat down with the host for a chat and a version of "Drowned," a second live performance from Tuesday's taping, was featured. When asked about the ongoing relevancy of Quadrophenia, forty years after its release, Pete said, "I think it's become a bit of a universal story; every teenage boy goes through this stuff."
