Singled Out: My Inner Burning's When I'm Gone

"When I'm Gone" is a very personal song. It is about a person that meant a lot to me, a very close friend. We had complete trust in each other and I never thought anything could come between us. Still, somewhere along the line we drifted apart and things happened that cannot be forgiven. The wall between us is made of steel.

Sometimes I reflect back on the good old days and try to keep only the better of these precious memories fresh in my mind. The lyrics to "When I'm Gone" were written my mood was filled with melancholy. It deals with the longing for days gone by, the rising doubts, and finally, making a break with the past.
