State Line Empire's First Record With Slash

. (Gibson) "Drive Me," the new single by San Mateo, California, rockers State Line Empire, hits iTunes today. The group were the winners of Guitar Center's "Your Next Record with Slash" contest.

As a result, the former Guns N' Roses axeman visited the band as they worked on their new EP, Octane, and laid down guitar parts for the record's lead single.

State Line Empire were handpicked by Slash and producer Mike Clink (Guns N' Roses, Megadeth) from more than 12,000 entries. Among the other prizes the band received was a Gibson Slash Appetite Les Paul. more on this story
