Tommy Lee's Wrong: Rob Zombie Not Directing Motley Crue Movie

. (Gibson) It was widely reported this week that Rob Zombie would be directing the film version of Motley Crue's memoir, The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band. Zombie now says those reports are untrue.

"No, I'm not doing the Motley Crue movie," Zombie told Undercover.fm, in a video interview set to be published next week. "I don't know where that [rumor] came from."

The misinformation apparently originated in an interview with Crue's Tommy Lee, published on Billboard.com. Lee hinted that newly-written Motley Crue material might be incorporated into the bio-pic, which, Billboard stated, is "on track with Rob Zombie as its director." more on this story
