Elton John Resurrected Leon Russell
. After the glory days of the '70s, Russell slipped from the limelight. "I was used to playing in front of 20,000 and then with only 300 seats, the audience was right up in my face. That took a bit of getting used to." Then the Elton John collaboration album, The Union, went to #3 on the U.S. album chart and Russell was back. "It's a wonderful thing, it's all up to Elton. I am very thankful," he said.
