(Rock News Desk) A former executive of rock and metal record label Roadrunner has pleaded not guilty to embezzlement charges after being accused of stealing $421,000 from the company over a six-year period.

Sharanda Houser, 35, was fired last year for unrelated reasons before the money was found to be missing. Prosecutors for the label say Houser operated a scam by claiming expenses using senior executives' names and having the payments sent directly to her. They also say she was convicted of stealing $13,000 from another employer in 1999.

Roadrunner's roster includes Slipknot, Kiss, Megadeth, Alter Bridge, Machine Head, Dream Theater, Slash, Rob Zombie, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Korn. more on this story
