Diamond Plate At the Mountains of Madness
. Generation Why?, which was recorded with producer Neil Kernon (Judas Priest, Nevermore, Deicide, 3 Inches Of Blood) and is due to be released on August 29th on. Diamond Plate lead guitarist Konrad Kupiec comments: "All of us couldn't be more excited to release 'At the Mountains of Madness' as the first song off 'Generation Why?'. With the original video for this song nearing 100,000 views on YouTube, 'Mountains' is arguably the song most people know us by, and we want to give old and new fans the perfect representation of how much we've improved over the past few years. With this album, the band sounds tighter and heavier, while the song-writing is more focused than ever. "The song is inspired by the H.P. Lovecraft novel of the same name, although we went deeper than the classic horror story of the novel and made our own social commentary present in the lyrics. As to our theme, that is for the listener to interpret and figure out. "Right now we're actually hard at work at writing for the second album (very inspired and not wasting any time haha), while simultaneously preparing to hit the road for the first time in August. With touring plans already in the works until next year, we will be out for a long time."
