Journey's Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain and Arnel Pineda stopped by the BBC last Friday for an interview with BBC's Breakfast Time.They discussed their new album Eclipse, their new single ("City of Hope") and the unprecedented resurgence of "Don't Stop Believin'." The interview is available here Journey is currently touring in the UK, kicking off the European leg of The Eclipse Tour on June 3 to a sold-out crowd at London's Wembley Arena, with special guests Foreigner and Styx. The band is touring in support of their latest album, Eclipse, which was released in the U.S. on May 24 (the CD is only available at Walmart and the album is available digitally through all the usual outlets). Journey kicks off The Eclipse Tour in North America on July 18 in Omaha, Nebraska. In other news, The Today Show used Journey's seminal hit, "Don't Stop Believin'" to bid farewell to host Meredith Vieira today, June 8. Highlights include Matt Lauer lip-synching at the piano before leading Vieira through the NBC studio; Ann Curry, Al Roker, Kathie Lee Gifford, and Hoda Kotb each taking a turn to lead her outside; Abe Vigoda dancing (?!?); and Jimmy Fallon demonstrating his best Neal Schon impersonation� on air guitar. The farewell culminated with a large flash mob comprised of TODAY show personalities & crew singing and dancing along to the hit anthem in the Plaza.
