Making of Paul McCartney's Classic Coming Up Video
. McCartney II was Macca's first solo album in 10 years when it was released in 1980. Among the tracks on the album was the single, "Coming Up," which went to #1 in the U.S. in June of that year. The song is largely remembered for its video, which cast Paul and wife Linda in a variety of roles in a fictional band called The Plastic Macs (a play on John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band). Vanity Fair has posted an exclusive look at the making of the video here Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
