(Gibson) An army of AC/DC fans went to the birthplace of late singer Bon Scott this weekend. They were celebrating what would have been Scott's 65th birthday at Bon Fest in Kirriemuir in Angus, Scotland (no, really!). Fans from around the globe paid tribute to the AC/DC frontman, who died in 1980 and was replaced by Brian Johnson.

Also in AC/DC news, a book by founding bass player Mark Evans will be released in November. Titled Dirty Deeds: My Life Inside/Outside AC/DC, the book tells the story of AC/DC's fearless climb to the top.

In the book, Evans writes: "The aggressive attitude that AC/DC had towards Australian bands continued when we shifted overseas. The world's bigger bands became our new targets.we saw a few of the so-called headline acts and straight away knew that we had nothing to fear." more on this story
