Gabe Dixon Gives Fans Early Taste of New Album

. (Concord) Gabe Dixon's solo debut album, One Spark, will be released on August 23, 2011, but fans can get a taste of the album on his new EP entitled My Favorite- exclusively released this week through iTunes.

My Favorite will include two songs from One Spark, "My Favorite" and "On A Day Just Like Today," as well as two non-album tracks "Things That Move Me" and "Change" (a cover of John Waite's first solo single, a Top 20 Mainstream Rock hit).

"John got turned onto my music by Alison Krauss, and decided to cover my song 'Further The Sky' on his Rough & Tumble album earlier this year," said Dixon. When we were thinking of songs to cover, it seemed natural to return the favor for one of the true legends of rock."

"My Favorite" is the singer/songwriter/pianist's first single off One Spark and is currently heating up radio nationwide. Check out Gabe performing "My Favorite" live from Room 5 in Los Angeles here.
