Swirlies Announce Tour
. The new tour will kick off at Talking Head in Baltimore on July 21 and include stops in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and New York. The Philadelphia show, taking place at Johnny Brenda's, is a special "Lunch with the Swirlies" performance that will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. The following day, with the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and East River as their backdrop, Swirlies will take the stage on the Beekman Beer Garden's sandy beach as part of the Beach Party Music Series. The show is presented in association with producers involved with the Seaport Music Festival. It begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Admission is free and limited to 1,100 people age 21 and over. Psychedelic Horsesh*t will open the N.Y. and D.C. dates with their experimental electro noise-pop explosion. The line up for the tour will include founding members Damon Tutunjian and the aforementioned Andy Bernick, who will be joined by Deborah Warfield (Puella), as well as Adam Pierce (Mice Parade) and Rob Laakso (Amazing Baby, Diamond Nights) who have both been members of the band since the mid-nineties.
