Katy Perry Hits A Triple (Top Story)
. "Firework," the third single from her Grammy-nominated No. 1 album Teenage Dream, claims the top spot on Billboard's Hot 100 and Digital Songs chart this week, following on the heels of Katy's two previous No. 1 singles "California Gurls" and "Teenage Dream." Katy also hit No. 1 with "I Kissed A Girl," which held the top spot for seven weeks in the summer of 2008. On December 2nd, it was announced that Katy had been nominated for four 2011 Grammy Awards: "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Vocal Album" for Teenage Dream, "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for the single "Teenage Dream," and "Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals" for "California Gurls." She was nominated in 2009 for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for "I Kissed A Girl" and in 2010 for "Hot N Cold" from her 2008 debut album One of the Boys. Katy has won a BRIT Award, two MTV Europe Music Awards, an NRJ Music Award, a People's Choice Award, and two Teen Choice Awards, among other international honors. - more on this story
