Aimee Mann Huggy Bear Benefit
. On November 15, 2010 Aimee Mann's longtime drummer and good friend John "Huggy Bear" Sands was struck by a catastrophic heart attack. Still in the hospital, John has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Facing mounting medical bills, his musical community has joined together to raise funds to help defray costs and to do something for the man they have long counted on to the carry the beat for them. Proceeds from the show will go to benefit John Sands, along with a silent auction that will be held that night. The auction is also open to bidders online through the website and will feature tickets from sold-out shows by Robert Plant, Bright Eyes and The Pogues along with limited edition artwork, V.I.P Red Sox tickets and more. Tickets are $40 and doors open at 7 pm with the show starting at 8 pm. For further information, tickets and to make a donation, please visit www.teamhuggy.com.
