Fans Choose Metal Singer As Icon But Suffolk Choose To Cheat

. (Rock AAA) Bosses of English tourist body Choose Suffolk have been slammed for changing the rules of a popularity poll just because it was won by Cradle of Filth singer Dani Filth.

The extreme metal artist says he's "knocked" that the government-funded body abandoned plans to demonstrate the county's diversity because the result of the poll demonstrated diversity.

The organisation launched an online search to identify an icon which represents the English region, both within its borders and around the world. But when the public reacted by voting for Filth, they changed the rules and selected their own shortlist of 20 images. more on this story
