The Pixies Ponder New Album

. (Gibson) Although the Pixies have been a steady concert attraction since reuniting in 2004, they have yet to record a new album together.

The sole bit of new music from Black Francis and Co. was the single "Bam Thwok," a download-only written and sung by bassist Kim Deal. Now, it seems that the group might be heading back into the studio.

"We've been talking about [doing an album] for about three years now, actually," drummer David Lovering told Billboard.com. "I don't know if it will come to fruition; I'm waiting and waiting to see what will happen. All I can say is if there is one, it better be good. We'd really have to work at it." more on this story
