Jeff Beck Hitting The Road

. (Gibson) Sunday's three-part victory at the Grammy Awards was just the icing on the cake for guitar god Jeff Beck, who is on a roll in early 2011. Having pocketed awards for Best Rock Instrumental Performance ("Hammerhead"), Best Pop Instrumental Performance ("Nessun Dorma") and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals ("Imagine," with Herbie Hancock, Pink, India.Arie, Seal, Konono No 1 and Oumou Sangare) at the Staples Center ceremony in Los Angeles, Beck can now concentrate on an ambitious touring schedule.

With his Rock 'n' Roll Party: Honoring Les Paul coming out on CD, DVD and Blu-ray on February 22, Beck will hit the road with The Imelda May Band, who recorded the aforementioned set with him at a tribute show at the Iridium Jazz Club in New York City last June.

The group will play 12 U.S. dates in March and April before Beck rejoins his Emotion Commotion band for further North American dates, including an April 29 appearance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. more on this story
