Jane's Addiction Working on Daring New Album

. (Gibson) Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell tells Spin.com that his band's new album is their most daring yet. "We are taking great risks and writing in ways that we have never written before," Farrell says about the record, titled The Great Escape Artist.

Part of that experimental spirit comes from teaming with TV on the Radio mastermind Dave Sitek on the album sessions.

"Our producer Rich Costey said, 'Hey, I have a friend�' and it was Dave. Rich said, 'If you guys work together, there would be explosions.'" Farrell said. "So I looked Dave up. He was just finishing up a record of his own. But when we met, he was very enthusiastic. He's a true artist and with an original, contemporary sound." more on this story
