Great American Country's Sarah Trahern Honored
. Made possible by the Gibson Foundation, the forum was established in 2007 to explore issues related to the business side of the music industry and annually recognizes an individual who represents the legacy of pioneering agent-manager Louise Scruggs, wife and business partner of Country Music Hall of Fame legend Earl Scruggs. Forum honorees are chosen by representatives of both the Gibson Foundation and the museum and receive final approval from the Scruggs family. "We are very pleased to recognize Sarah Trahern on the fifth anniversary of the Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum," said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. "As was the case with Louise, Sarah's great affection for the music, collaborative nature and visionary work have nurtured a deeper national understanding and appreciation for the music and the values it reflects. Her efforts and success are in keeping with the educational missions of both the Museum and the Gibson Foundation, and we are delighted to recognize her important contributions to the growth of America's music and the development of Nashville as Music City." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
